Listening | The student was talking to other students while their partner recited their story. | The student wasn’t talking to other students, but wasn’t paying full attention to their partner. | The student actively listened and focused all of their attention on their partner |
Style | Style jumps from use of dialect to standard English or is written in the student’s own way of speaking instead of their partner's. | Attempt is made to use only one style, but slips are present. | One style is present and used throughout the entire story. |
